This year Micah turned 4. He was so excited about this
milestone and had waited patiently for April 27th to arrive. His
birthday landed on a very crazy time for us (we had only moved two days prior),
but we ended up having a great time celebrating despite of it all. First, on
Thursday we brought a cake to playgroup, in part for Micah’s birthday, and in
part as a farewell. The playgroup was a regular part of our life while living
at Charles Street and Micah made a few good friends there. On his actual birthday (April 27th)
we had a fun family day going to the Toronto Zoo. Both kids loved it. I was
hoping that I would get away with not having a party at our house, but Micah
kept insisting that a birthday meant having friends over for a party. So….today
we had a casual BBQ/party with a few of Micah’s friends from church. He wanted
a Chirp cake (a character from a monthly magazine that he gets), which was easy
enough. It was a lovely sunny, warm day perfect to host friends in our
backyard.
