Unfortunately, Micah is not coming home today as he became jaundiced. So, he will be in the hospital now until the weekend. We are only home for a little bit and so I will post some pics hopefully tomorrow.

Pam was discharged from the hospital this afternoon. Micah is still in the nursery there, but he may be released tomorrow. Pam is able to spend lots of cuddle time with him now that his breathing is improving.

Micah is born!

Sorry it took so long getting these posted but a little final exam today got in the way (yes, I still wrote that exam). So here he is..

This is Micah at about 7 hours old after he was taken to the intermediate care nursery because of breathing issues. He is 7 lbs 0 ounces of pure cuteness and fun. The tube on his head is an IV as they couldn't get one into his little arm. And the sensors on his chest are for his heart and breathing rates

Today, a nurse made a little name sign for his crib in the nursery.

Family and Friends

We had a wonderful long weekend with family and friends. On Thursday we had Bryce over for his birthday celebration. I made everything from scratch, because he still has not stopped teasing me for the time I made stuffing from a box (and tried to hide the evidence). He brought over his latest 'toy' and Ryan was more then happy to help usher him into the world of Mac.
One of our new favorite things is walking over to Jeffery's Cafe and Cobs Bread to pick up lattes and breakfast and enjoy the treats at our new favorite lookout place close to the river valley trails. We feel so blessed to live in an area of the city that has access to trails and even after years we are still discovering new 'special spots'.

Friday we hung out with our friends Scott and Shelley (Aaron and Niki were both out of town and were missed). We had a fun day playing Guitar Hero and Cities & Knights.

We made a trip to Drumheller to spend Easter with Ryan's family. Traveling any length of time in a vehicle is challenging with my back problems, but it was worth seeing family. We had a fun time hanging out with our nieces and nephews... going to the playground, painting Easter eggs, playing video games and watching the ice come down the Red Deer River.
