Eighteen Months - January 18, 2013
Our little baby is a baby no longer but very active toddler.
He had a rough start to the New Year. First, with fracturing his leg by getting
it caught trying to get off a bike, and then getting the stomach flu. Oh, and on
top of all of that he has been popping out teeth like crazy. Poor kid, but
after a few very rough weeks he is back to is normal active cheery self.
Jared is a climber and he will use anything to help him
climb higher (i.e. books, toys, pots). Ever since starting gymnastics a few
weeks ago he loves jumping. He will jump in one spot, jump off things or jump
into our arms. It is so fun to watch him discover what his body can do. Today,
he discovered walking on his tippy toes. He would walk around the house on his
tippy toes, giggling. He looked like a ballerina. However, no matter what activity
he is doing, kicking the ball is still his favorite. Even at gymnastic class he
will spend part of the time kicking the sponge cubes around and he has a really
good kick for a little guy. A soccer player in the making? I guess we will have
to see J
Naptime or bedtime does not happen without his precious
bunny.
His language development has been coming along… I think the
most precious word he has said so far is when he said ‘Micah’. It melted my
heart. They are such wonderful brothers already. They love getting into mischief
together and of course fighting. There is nothing better then hearing them
giggling together. Jared definitely loves Micah.
Jared is cuddly. He gives the best hugs; he will just
snuggle in and put his head on my shoulder. I love it! He enjoys playing with Duplo
Legos and cars and playing in the kitchen. He likes to play with my pots and
pans.
We love him so much and he truly is a gift from God.
