Odds and Ends

The last few months have been busy. In January we had the first opportunity to see our little one. It was a wonderful experience and so far everything looks healthy and normal. The little munchkin was looking straight at us and was moving his mouth, so I am choosing to believe that he was saying "hi". It made for an freaky picture and Ryan calls him our "Skeletor".

We also got exciting news regarding Ryan's schooling. He got accepted into three graduate programs: McGill, McMaster, and U of A. All of them also offered him funding and scholarships. Although it would be fun to live in Montreal for a few years, U of A has a great program and seems like the best fit at this time. So we will be staying in Edmonton for a few more years.

This past week I was able to escape the cold weather. I went to Arizona for a few days to visit my parents and check out their new holiday home near Phoenix. It was wonderful to lounge at the pool, go for sunny morning walks with my mom, and enjoy the beautiful blooming flowers.
