Five Years Today...

Five years today our life changed forever, as we entered the world of parenthood and our sweet son was born. Part of me feels like it has been the longest five years of my life and another part can't believe that it has been five years already. I have treasured the past five years, as Micah has grown, developed and changed so much. He has developed in to a very curious, inquisitive, imaginative active boy. He makes friends easily and enjoys kindergarten. He is a great big brother and plays so well with Jared. They really are best buds. He enjoys swimming and playing outside. His favourite toys are lego, play mobile, and hot wheel cars. He also loves imaginative play with his stuffies. He continues to love books and now enjoys chapter books. He also often request us to tell him stories from our head. He is cautious
and will often take stock of a new situation or active before diving in. We so proud of him and love him more then words could ever describe and thank God for him.

For his birthday we had a small party at our house. Last year we told him that he had to wait until he was five before he could get small piece lego. So he has been waiting patiently to turn five so that he could have small piece lego and for his fifth birthday he wanted a lego cake. So we kind of went with a lego theme. I made a lego cake and we did a small piece lego activity with his friends. It was low key and he had a blast.

Today for his actual birthday, it started with pancakes. Last year I made pancakes in a shape of a 'M' and '4'. He remember and requested pancakes in the shape of a 'M' and '5'. I think we have a new family birthday tradition :-) We also have started on birthday tradition of doing a fun family activity. This year we surprised Micah by going to Legoland Discovery Centre Toronto (we had never gone before). We all had a blast. He also opened his gift from us... a remote control rally car! (Yes, Yes, he did get small piece lego.. uncle Bryce and auntie Janette give him his first small piece lego sets in Phx and he has played with them everyday since we got back from our trip :-)

I have included some pics of all the different activities and a little video.
