Jared is 5!

Our sweet little baby is 5. He has grown and developed so much this past year. He loves hugs and gives the best cuddles (although he does not like kisses :). He makes friends where ever he goes, no matter age or gender. He loves to scooter and is determined to ride his bike without training wheels now that he is 5. He enjoys playing lego, playing and collect pokemon cards, trains, and anything make believe. In all his adventures,  his bunny and brother are always close by.

For his party we had Pawsitively Pets come over. He and his friends loved learning about the different animals. We also had a BBQ and some party games. A wonderful way to celebrate his birthday. For his birthday diner he asked to go to Seven Numbers, a local Italian restaurant that serves the best meatballs.  We ended the weekend celebration by spending some family time at the local beach.

Leamington and Point Pelee National Park

For the May long weekend we went to visit friends who now live in Leamington. It was a wonderful time catching up with our friends, visiting Point Pelee National Park, and touring the local wineries.

Happy 7th Birthday

Wow - Micah is now 7 years old. He is such a great kid. He finished his first year of hockey and loved it. Now with the warmer weather he loves being outside and playing soccer and baseball in the backyard or at the park. He still loves lego. He is into Pokemon - playing the game and collecting the cards. He likes playing with his teddies. He likes anything science and continues to want to be a scientist when he grows up. He enjoys drawing and recently told me that he needs to be an illustrator because when he is a scientist he will need to be able to draw his discoveries in his book.

For his actual Birthday, I took the day off and picked him and Jared up from school at lunch and we all went out to a restaurant of his choosing. He chose a local French cafe that serves the most amazing crepes. Afterwards we went to a local baseball diamond and played baseball with his new glove and bat.

On Saturday, we had a few friends over. We hired a magician to entertain the kids and afterwards had a BBQ and cake. Micah and his friends had so much fun and a few days later they were still talking about the magic tricks that the magician performed :)
