Florida May 2013

In the end of May we had a wonderful Florida family holiday with Ryan's parents and Aunt Linda. Our week away consisted of lots of beach time and swimming in the pool. We also went to Young at Art Children's Museum (which was amazing), the Fort Lauderdale Museum of Science and Discovery, and Sawgrass Recreation Centre. The kids loved spending time with their grandparent's and we also got to spend sometime with them in Toronto before and after our holiday.

Soccer 2013

Outdoor soccer has started for the summer and our Saturday mornings now consist of us walking half a block to our local soccer field for classes. Micah loves his class and has been doing really well with listening to the coaches and following instructions. I am so proud of him. Jared is very proud that he too has a soccer class; however, he usually only lasts half a class before he is ready to move on to the playground :-)

Happy Birthday Micah

This year Micah turned 4. He was so excited about this milestone and had waited patiently for April 27^th to arrive. His birthday landed on a very crazy time for us (we had only moved two days prior), but we ended up having a great time celebrating despite of it all. First, on Thursday we brought a cake to playgroup, in part for Micah’s birthday, and in part as a farewell. The playgroup was a regular part of our life while living at Charles Street and Micah made a few good friends there.  On his actual birthday (April 27^th) we had a fun family day going to the Toronto Zoo. Both kids loved it. I was hoping that I would get away with not having a party at our house, but Micah kept insisting that a birthday meant having friends over for a party. So….today we had a casual BBQ/party with a few of Micah’s friends from church. He wanted a Chirp cake (a character from a monthly magazine that he gets), which was easy enough. It was a lovely sunny, warm day perfect to host friends in our backyard.
